Dr. Donald Ray McNeal
This course identifies those nations and personalities in the Bible who were people of color. Students will examine the contributions made by these individuals and groups.
Dr. Harold Simmons
This course is designed to help students engage in the biblical principles of leadership. Students will learn how to “Lead Like Jesus” in personal conviction, in the home, in the church, in the city, in the state, and in the world. This course will reveal how Jesus would have us to lead others and grow in depth of understanding of what the Bible reveals.
Dr. Alfred White
This course will direct Christian education directors, superintendents, church training directors, and so forth, on recruitment, equipping, and maintaining people resources needed for a viable Christian education program.
Pastor Keith Pendilton
This course will examine basic biblical principles that students may apply to successfully maneuver through various conflicts that frequently arise in the church. Upon completion of the course the students will be able to develop a model that can utilized in conflict resolution.
Dr. Linden Bowie and Sis. Michelle Bowie
The students will be taught the biblical basis for marriage. The focus will be on the components that contribute in a godly, happy, and productive marital relationship. The students will also study the necessary personal characteristics that will enable married persons to live in accordance with God’s ordinance for marriage.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday – 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Dr. Serena Rowan
The students will review the introductory of the Articles of Faith for Baptists, a longtime standard of the church. Students will evaluate each thought, with emphasis placed on biblical support.
Sis. Doris Dissassa
The students will focus on teaching strategies for children in grades 1 – 3. The students will explore the varying development levels of children, to include socialization, spiritual development, as well as physical and mental competencies.
Rev. Tony Johnson
(Connecting with Young Adults)
The students will focus on the practical, simple ways of discovering the needs and interests of young adults. Careful emphasis will be on the developmental process of this age group, and the problems peculiar to them. The students will focus on methods that will assist the church in its efforts to actively involve young adults in the mission and work of the church.
Dr. Eleanor Johnson
The students will focus on church growth strategies, designed for church schools, Vacation Bible Schools, and other Christian education efforts.
